2025 THEME

Ua Mau Ka Ho‘oilina iā Kākou—Ke Aliʻi Pauahi's legacy continues in all of us

Princess Bernice Pauahi Bishop's enduring legacy shapes lives not only within Kamehameha Schools, but across our islands and even beyond. Hoʻolauleʻa is a living expression of that – an annual event that transcends boundaries. On the 100th anniversary of this tradition, and with the location change to Bishop Museum, our intention is to create an experience that is inclusive – one that resonates with all.

At Ho‘olaule‘a, we reaffirm the bonds that unite us. We fundraise and celebrate together. We stand in gratitude for the past as we build a hopeful, vibrant future. It is this collective strength that allows us to carry forward the legacy of Princess Pauahi, ensuring that her vision continues to cultivate and uplift generations to come.

WHY WE FUNDRAISE

Hoʻolauleʻa is our biggest fundraiser and attributes to over 75% of our giving budget for the following school year. All proceeds from Hoʻolauleʻa go towards various student enrichment grants, scholarships, teacher appreciation activities, ʻohana engagement and more.  Every dollar you spend during this event will benefit our Kamehameha Schools Kapālama haumāna, kumu and ʻohana.
